Two different “lasts” matter for a THCP vape — and people conflate them:
- The effect of one session: 1–4 hours. Vapor onset is 1–5 minutes, the peak lands at 15–30 minutes, and the session winds down over the next couple of hours.
- The device itself: how many sessions are in the battery and distillate — that’s the “how long will this last me” question, and it’s usage-dependent.
Per-Session Duration
A normal session is 30–60 minutes of pulling (a few short hits here and there) with effects riding for 1–4 hours after. Vapes are the shortest-window format — which is exactly why they’re the control format: fast onset, adjustable, and gone before the deep-sleep hours if you use one in the evening (full onset comparison).
Device Life (How Many Sessions)
| Device | Typical sessions | For a moderate user (few days/week) |
|---|---|---|
| 2.2g (e.g., Mad Mind 2.2g) | ~100–200 pulls | Several weeks to a month |
| 3.8g (e.g., Stoner Blend 3.8g) | ~200–350 pulls | ~2 months |
| 9g (e.g., Stoner Blend 9g) | ~400–700 pulls | 5–9 months (it’s a daily-vaper device) |
Pulls vary with draw length and the device’s coil; these are the ranges we see users report. Short, spaced pulls (2 seconds, 30-second rest) make a device go further and make each pull hit better than long continuous draws (vape dosing tips).
What Makes a Device Drain Faster
- Chain-pulling — the coil runs hot, waste increases, battery drops.
- Heat and sun — degrades the distillate and stresses the battery; store cool and upright (battery care).
- Old battery — a device that’s sat 6+ months may under-deliver pulls even with distillate left.
When a device won’t fire anymore, it’s battery, not distillate — there’s no safe consumer repair, and the maintenance guide covers what to check before writing it off. Format comparison (vape vs. gummy vs. preroll): the gummies vs. vapes guide. Full specs on every device: the lineup page.
